Reconciliation:

Riveting beats

Hit my seat

Steel wheels roll

Over rails made for gold

Across the plains

Locomotives screams

From my box-car

I watch the scenes

To the south

Where lands turn dry

To a house where my child, resides

Tomorrow is

Her day in the sun

A wedding not planned

But yet, sprung

Behind I leave

A cell given to me

A lesson learned

A path now cured,
Yet unsure

Out the door

I watch day for dark

Rain too,
Is television for this old fool

Tomorrow I’ll see

My girl lost from me

One I knew

Yet never seen

I was away, away
you see

This one party

I’ll make

This one for sure

With gold woven in my belt

Gold woven in my belt

Gold woven in my belt
From that last store

Unfurling

From the slinky slank
I drank
Upon a meadow of reds
That stank
Within my time of highs
And lows
And across the bounty
Of lands unknown

Here is me
Alive and well
Having drank from,
a mortals hell

Where goblins and ghosts
Of hi-times gone-by
Rest within a restless mind

From the slinky slank I drank
Makes no difference if twice I thank
Twas time to slip across the moss
Of life’s bold tries, often loss

From the slinky slank I drank
Regrets of few, of this, I think
Come join me at, the slinky slank

Tired Eyes

Tired eyes
Roam streets of glass
One false move
It’ll be last
Bended knees
Once young, and free
Creak along
With mornings suns, song
How we manage?
How we fight?
How we travel from dawn, to night?

Tired eyes
Bend toward lofty skies
Of hope and dreams
Yet seen, yet seen
Unless in dreams both kind and mean
So day-dream, mighty
From dawn till night
For when most tired
Day’s struggling eyes
That fought the chance of
a road of broken glass
Then
closed and hid
Then
Dreams of magic or unkind
released from the night-dream elves, said
Plays of future days
Drawn from skies-light
Cast of radiant brilliance,
Of our future, magical flights

Loss

Loss
Mine
Yours
Time spent, never more
Loss
Place forever gone
Never to return to mend
Or does it still lurk, deep within our fading skin?
Loss
Probing memories
Tickling ticks hearts
Weighty memories
Live deep within our thoughts
So sleep restful, my passing friend
Past, present, and future too
Hugs you
Now carry all
Until roads end
Carry all
Until
Until, times clock releases pasts into rhymes of then

Renewal

Hither dither,
The girl by the river,
Let her hair, hang down

And there it rested
Till the river crested
Combed in the waters flow

And pulled it down stream
to places unseen
To worlds of wonder,
To places with Thunder
Of love and rhyme
And no thoughts of time

Her life,
renewed as the story goes
Though did curl her toes
tucked neatly below her thighs

And up, she looked, with wandering eyes
