Waters Edge

I need to stand by water’s edge

Where natures cure wraps its soothing salty brine

Around my ankles,

And forgives my life

In and out the tide does leap

White caps whipping

My dreams

To deep sleep

Out they go within the tides flow

To where exactly, I don’t know

Rid of them I thought, but then they soon return

To and fro the melody plays on, all moonlight-night long

I need to stand at water’s edge

Inhaling salty scents from heavens breath

Lamenting times lost, thought forever

Yet tides of foam roll them back in, holding forgiveness’s within

Dreams once thought lost

Now wrap my face in salty reunions of foam and mist Were really, only, temporarily
