Within the rubble

Of years of strife and struggle 

Lay the day 

Of wealths reason 

Gone astray

Within the seas 

Where life gained

And lost 

Roll up and down

Swallowing all

Left around

Above the curl where

Foam mixes and churns

The sky and waters tease for all

The world

Is where I rest, tonight

And perhaps evermore 

For my last thoughts

Rest within…..

Within the rubble of yesterday’s lore 

Is where my heart flourishes

With or without

Evermore…..
