Through the smoke

Through the smoke
Through the fog
Past the light of angry days

Past the fire of loves hold
Above the smoke of smoldering, time old
We survived it all
We survived it all
We survived it all

And I wouldn’t have it any other way
Any other way
And I wouldn’t have it
Any
Other way

Any, any, any other way
And would do it again with you, any day
Any day
We didn’t get cheated
Nooo, we didn’t get cheated

Yes, I know, nobody lives forever
But if we could,
I would with you any day
Any day

So tell me

So tell me
My dear
What is it that you fear?
What night dreams of glitter and moss
Wrench you from, soft sleep
That makes you toss

So tell me my friend
Do you worry about the end
Do you wonder, do you feel
Life’s eternity isn’t for real

So tell me love
Is it heaven above
That takes your heart
Makes you cringe
Makes you fear the after, of times end?

So tell me friend, my love of time
Do you fear what’s lost, what’s divine
Are you safe in my hands alone
Or do you wish for one, of a throne

Now tell me love
Are you still scared?
Do you wish for what was once
A young girls cares?
Do you wish for time to hold
That won’t let you go

Now rest my love
I will talk to those above
And tell them of you
And what it is you hold true

Now rest my love
Soon you’ll fly as if a dove
And I will be alone
Wishing it was me, not left alone

Now tell me love
Tell me my dear
Say you will watch over me
From there.

Careful

Careful
Stop and wait, said the lady at the gate
step too close
to the natural noose
and find out exactly
what it is that cooks, a goose

Careful
love does bite
in the morning
and into the night

Roll, roll roll
into the light of mornings fall
into the depth of evenings black pearl
into the severe wave of love, unrestrained

Careful careful
time is uncertain
waste too much, often not enough
the sense of ability is often
over played

Careful careful you’ll fall into the pit
where life stirs it’s most redeeming
bliss
players all
big, thin, fat or tall
Inescapable victims of loves perilous
fall

Careful, careful, careful, careful
careful, careful, careful , careful
time misspent
Yields memories never never…
never ever
Remembered without curls of lips
floating around as gallant ships

Careful, careful, careful

What a sky

Oh my
oh my ….what a sky
one so red
and blue too
is this the first
or end of you
Oh my
what a sky
the red fades
blue rules the day
blue that loves the like of you
love the like
of me and you
Oh my
what a sky
One once so blue
red now. ..I’m alone
oh my
the to do is now
The field of love, battle and equality is…
NOW

Winters breath

A last of winters harsh breath
culls my legs and nose and the rest
to north and south
and to tear drops only said
I’m yours, allow me
to be you one, you said
Leave us to lust
as children new and old
am I to know
what little has come before
Am I only the one left alone
am I singular the one
called to home
Or am I rich
held within not Satan’s breath
but walking alone
along the river we all want to own
And am I the one
who speaks to all and none
am I the one
chosen to pick which sun
sets upon the ache of
……..

4th week

On the fourth week
Of every other sun-down
A list of them have passed
Some who have yet to stood down..

Stood in March
Ready to carry life’s convincing ever-last
Strife and where
only those who once where young
Fought against an angry sons, sum

Rest now in, class of all
We did our best, to make things better last
We did things then, to better last

Yet make no mistake
What we didn’t then
Left restless thoughts and ideas
Struck within
Hollow hopes of new times all
And ideals
Where all of us, were best of all
Where all of us were better all

War drums

And for what time
does the widows walk
last until what’s lost
is forgot
Or is it until war drums beat
gently fade into evenings heat
and rest comes cool
Harsh memories, to sleep

Wreck time

And as I succeed in life’s appointments.

May I lay too, in the midst of disappointments?

Watching my rain bore solemn rows
Of forgotten lasts
Held as if sand filtered through the plane of times,
Toes.

I should rest

While my blistering Sun spears

Clouds, melting mists

Of royal doubts and tears
And only then

And until lasts I know

Of troubled hands, of wreck time

Wrestling the grip of love mind

From weak hands, and hard minds
I ask only then

If you and they wake one day,

Lonely

Please best yet

Make it your best set today

For tomorrow is only,

A promise made, often broken

My wish

My wish
For friends
of mine still here
And those I’ve known
Who left for places
Of mighty blue

I wish for you
A chair in the breeze
Of a temperate ocean
In midnight’s dream

I wish for you
The beat of the gentle drum
Of an oceans crashing
Wave
Foaming around ankles
Bruised, not beaten
Among

I wish for you
Calm, times two
And sea-spray to
Wash tears away
Spent on the young

I wish for you
Silky cool sand
to bury the heat
of well-worn feet
Roughed of a days angry beat

And last, I wish
No time spent
Wasted on laments and regrets
