Sea Mist

Sea mist

Palm trees

Sand in between

My toes

Oh how do I leave?

Those Florida, souls

Cascading waves

Foaming seams of nature’s salt waters dreams

Oh

Oh my

Oh when will the sky look upon me

Bright enough for just one last time

Sea Mist wetting my cragged tired face

Palm trees to say, HEY friend!

Sand enough between my toes to fill a broken hearts woes

Sea mist washing away my tired days

Sea mist

Untitled:

Come quickly

My dear-

Come sit with me

As we had in yester year

Listen, now is the not Santa

Santa’s reindeer

Hooves clawing on our roof for all to hear?

Oh how I wish

This was still back when

When you and your brother fought

And then were friends, again and again

And I/we would hear

You’re ripping open brightly colored packages

Till you were surrounded

In a sea of tissue and wrapping

For Mom to clean up after, again and again

My lost little friend

And now I know it’s time for you to go

And turn from you to clear bright light

Oh how I wish you could stay, for a whole day?!

And play on the floor, amongst toys’ galore

-Sigh-

Oh I wish you could come back

I miss you always, more and more

Everyday

A soldiers tale

Why should

I wait

To escape

My fate tis on meadows horizon

And there I lay

Amongst the hay

Rich in red

Bleeding dead

Some say why

I ask not

And so it tis that

Ends make it only once

Or twice

And that’s enough

To suffice

Is that you?

Is that me?

There was a time

My love

When all was right

And all was wrong

But in the end the life sailed on

My love

And so within

This makeshift box do sing

Is a life well spent?

Where reason and love had repent

And in the life’s end

Did more of you and me did expend

To say . HI!

My name is Nigel’s

And I don’t lie

So write your list

Of Christmas lesson learned and missed

For there I will and do roam

Until I do pass

All

Alone

What fell

from the shelf

Onto the floor

Of

Nevermore

Oh..amI reeling unto and into

the times lost amongst

us

All I say

Tis

A another brilliant day and

to that end

is the dread that

Will always END!!

Brother

Yesterday came and went

Like a great rail train spewing smoke in vent

You were 4

I was 2

We fought like mad man

Until

The night flew

And then it was 5 and 8 and beyond

Our lives as brothers were lost, oh, lost for all

And now I think and say this my brother

Without our scraps and scrapes to one another

I wouldn’t think

There was a another time

I would

Spend

That could be happier than that then

And now you sleep

For evermore

I guess I’ll soon too

Greet you in the great

Nevermore

Where ghosts of time

Hide beyond the lines

And there we, I hope we, thee

Will see one another

Another we’ll see

As if we were once

Just you and me

Peanut Butter

And there she was

A girl of girls

Wrapped in blue Jeans and flowing curls

Her father said; had I known better

I’d named her Tom

Instead of Stephanie

A tom-boy she was

And none better

Could pitch she could

Her grandad made sure

Hung out with all the boys

One especially she knew would

Malcolm he was

And to her mighty cute

The romance began

Where nothing else could

The years passed

Most were quick

One day she changed

From Tom to peanut butter

Because all the boys said

She made them feel like jelly

When she smiled at them. Oh brother!

Don’t worry

Don’t worry Lass

Rest and awake

At your new place

Don’t worry Lass

I’ll take care of your lawn

Under the stars of your own

Where you’ll see your dreams

of when, and then….

That had come

and gone

….And now will take you

to where you are to go…

Don’t worry, dear

You’ll soon pass to a place held fast

Don’t worry Lass

And you’ll be around

In a new place

Still in all

Where you last held

Space

Don’t worry Lass

Don’t worry

Without a Trace

A shadow ran

Across my face

And left its mark

Without a trace, Except for

A line or two

Of years denied

But also suffered through

In that lane

Of remorseful purposes

Hide times

So lost before us…

And what about you?
